Re: Thought of the Day

Solid Surreal.

The solid surreal is a state of mind in which fact can no longer be discerned from fiction.

Anything that sounds like it might be real - and fits into individual worldview - is real.

Re: Thought of the Day

I may have mentioned it before, but time works differently for me, now . Time does indeed work both ways - but not in the way you would initially assume. I had previously imagined that 'reverse' time - (the opposite of the time advancement that we experience) - would be like rewinding a TV programme...

Re: Thought of the Day

I have a tale to tell, of each their own reality where perfect sense for all that see we've passed the line, the dreaded ledge and tumble down toward our fate still unknown and far away, but close enough at hand the mind will split and tear away lost in past and future present tense the realisation ...

Re: That "other" forum ....

Shame, RI really is over. It's been made abundantly clear that the 'owner' no longer has interest in it. It's been left to the zealots to run it.
Mind you - it had a good run for a forum. If only Elvis had the balls to scrub it clean and really throw the cat amongst the pigeons.

Re: That "other" forum ....

I've actually got a stack of screenshots that show this in action. My favourite is the 'disappearing' post... the reply that literally disappears before your very eyes as you are responding to it. It's gaslighting at it's finest. :) And, though I've said it before, I'll say it again - slad is able ...

Re: That "other" forum ....

or maybe, slad and Jerky are a sock of American Dream, who is a sock of Jeff Wells - who is a sock of an anonymous Mr Big, who remains in the shadows. Or maybe it's all 82_28, socking them all. Nah, not that last one.

Re: That "other" forum ....

It has occured to me in the past, but I dismissed it. However, I'm beginning to seriously consider the idea that the user 'Jerky' could actually be the alter-ego of Jeff Wells - a sock puppet creation of the creator himself. Wouldn't that be funny? :)

Re: That "other" forum ....

I'm beginning to wonder if RI was a honeytrap from the start . Start off with a sensitive soul writing lyrical but biting prose, pull in the types that are interested in the genre - then slowly but surely introduce the real agenda as the years pass. Witness the countless members that have slowly bu...

Re: Covert Ops over at Rigorous Intuition

C3a made contact via third party custom shelfmaker with The Saint. All sorted - made appearance, calmed nerves, threw cat amongst pigeons. Yesterdays Man re-activated, same MO, should ruffle some feathers.

Re: That "other" forum ....

Well, I got sucked back in - by the return of AD. St Jeff even showed his face, talking about not being anodyne, whilst being anodyne. It's a shame when someone loses the sight . I'm glad AD is back - I still maintain that he is by far the best online agitator / leading indicator of where the system...

Re: Thought of the Day

I'm beginning to understand what it was about the 'Jesus Christ' persona that was so appealing/unappealing to people of his/her age. This figure, whoever they were, was able to see 'hidden in plain sight' as it absolutely was. This made 'Christ' either a saviour who pointed out and explained the (no...

Re: Thought of the Day

Why is it that falsehoods that are so easy to prove as such, have tendency to stay in place regardless of exposure?

Because the truth is too horrendous to contemplate.

It is this conundrum that keeps those in power, in power.

A theoretical framework of mind in which all possibilities - and in particular, equal and opposing balance - are considered. Closed, secret. Open, honest. Dark, hidden Light, seen. he sat in contemplative silence for a while. some said it was for ten years, but time had no place in his mind, being as ancient as the mountains. the muse had played her games and now she was ready to tell, slowly unveiling each moment in its glory. he had lived in a time of true beauty. a time not...

Re: Thought of the Day

They believe that to achieve bliss, great suffering must first be experienced.

I can see the reasoning behind that. It's sound. A balancing - to truly know one extreme, one must know it's opposite.

But haven't we suffered enough, already?
