Reverance for the ancients lies with their dedication to usurp the natural forces of this reality.

The Pyramids stand, still.

A clock in a mountain. A brave and clever attempt, but will it stand the test of time?

And if it does, what will spring from the ashes - when considering that next time, they will know what's coming?

But of course they will - they always have.

The End-State of a CGI Reality.

You peer out of the window, onto an empty street. A car drives away. A kid rides past, heroically fast.

You go back to the TV and see the throng of people outside your house, waiting to see you.
There are more people than you have ever seen before.
They look quizical, yet excited.

You fall asleep, watching the pretend people watching out for you.

You awaken and return to the window. There is a thronging mass of faces looking at you.

Which is the dream - and which is the reality?

They are very sensitive creatures, the Elites. Perhaps the most sensistive amongst us. Their fear controls their existence.

Those most likely are least able.

Is anything as it seems?

Is it collective madness, or sanity?

We want it all, but can have nothing.

The superiority complex is most dangerous of all.

Who can be the most extreme?
Well done, you absolutely smashed it...killed it, what next? - you anally raped it, mate!
Centcom jokes about dropping nuclear bombs, what next? - jokes about sarin gassin' the sand rats?
US congress member brands Trump a motherfucker, what next? - the pedo-necrophiliac President?
Who can imply the very worst thing?

We are automata, playing along with actions determined in an indeterminate place long ago, a seed that grew into a branching tree which grasps towards a pale blue hue, a hue of warmth and cold, red with fire and white with ice, stoking our engine of forward momentum towards a destiny that that cannot be sold.

She is cruel, but kind too. She gave us sights to behold, the dark to reflect. Stars of bright and black silk, all the colours of the rainbow, stood side by side with the next. Love and hate to know, indifference to balance the show. A mind both near and far, sweeping majesty of mindscape view, imagination to summon and scare away the shadow. Difference to remain intreagued, but not too much so.

I dreamed that I am a human being and that my name is Lightning From The Ground. I have two gifts bestowed from the mother; first - that I can see into my enemy's minds eye - and second, that my arrow is always true.

I awoke with slow slumber. A stranger in a strange place that I once knew well. I had been here many times, this unfamiliar comfortable.
The more I became, the less I was that I used to be.

We wind through existence, spiralling around a core that becomes tighter and tighter, until forced to return and begin again.
The Realisation will find those that seek, hidden in plain view, in the last place we each care to see.

Stay in the between, if you dare.

Can the unreal be made real?

The chicken.. or the egg?

Are they insane... or the most rational?

Is it based on intuition... or hard fact?

Does any of it really matter... when the end result is the same?

Time is running fast and short. To fight against an inevitable outcome seems pointless.

Yet...why not?

Folly.

They seek, at every turn, to invoke their God. It occurs all around us, yet we are blind to it's presence, absent the occasional shiny that attracts attention to make us wonder. Eventually, the songs we sing will be of worship to their God. Laughter will die out as the seriousness of their commitment becomes apparent. They believe it with all their hearts - and with good reason.

But it is all for nought in the long run.

It was always hidden in plain sight.

The awakening will be monumental.

The Realisation will be both full of wonder...and full of terror.

Eternal bedfellows.

You will not believe it, until you have to.

Selective, collective, reflective amnesia

Our reality can be as merciful as it can be merciless. Our home's atmosphere shields us from the harshness of the extremeties beyond, keeping us safe from a raging beast that would devour us all within moments.

This reality is scalar. There are places we dare not look.

A terror locked inside an invisible box. But the terror patiently awaits confrontation. Because it's coming, regardless of whether we turn to face it, or not.

Is it better not to know? Better not to know, even though there others that do know and use it to their advantage?

Knowing brings an understanding of why.

It's understandable to resent The Minds That Know, but less so when understood why.

This reality placed sentient preservation high on the list. This irony is palpable.

A loss of innocence.

The Minds That Know labour under a blessing - and a curse. The entirety of the development of their minds have been shaped by it. They have led by example - an example of sentient preservation. The hunger for integration of mind and machine is the latest gambit, the freedom from Earthly flesh and bone. A way out. An exit with no gaurantee, but at least a chance. To live as their God - as Gods themselves.
Freedom from the hidden fear. Their excitement is undeniable.

Is this a noble goal? Is it a fair and just cause, when those that do not know are ignorant of it's aims, yet simultaneously do not want to see that which it addresses? Are they good shepherds, after all? Are they the bravest among us? Herding a flock whose dearest wish is to remain ignorant of a darkness that dwells within the heart of existence?

Hidden in Plain Sight.

The wheels appear to turn slowly, as the mind races

For a spirit to rise to the highest height, it must first be crushed to the lowest depth.

Is there really a hunger to know The Truth? To know that which makes us what we are? Why we are the way we are?
Has this reality given us the ability to know, yet our minds shield us from looking too closely?

It's understandable why. On all accounts.

Which is the Bigger Picture?

Is it your family, friends and daily life?

Is it the community in which you live - and how that affects your life?

Is it the country in which you reside and it's policies towards it's citizens and outsiders?

Is it this planet, flaoting in space - on which all this occurs?

Is it the universe and all of it's peculiarities?

Or is it your mind - and all that it is capable of conceiving?

What drives them to fulfil their destiny?
Belief.

What has led them to believe?
The Past.

What has passed that led to their beliefs?
Events that have cemented their beliefs.

But to be certain, no one can foresee that which has not passed.

To pull the future forward to this moment is folly. And very, very dangerous.

We were here. But how can we make you aware?

Each step deeper into The Realisation allows the edges to fray a little more - the mortar holding the bricks of an imposed reality a little more eroded and liable to crumble. Look into your minds-eye.

After realisation comes an acceptance - that it never stops giving. It appears that there is only the space between here and there. But there is a gap in the space between. How we fill that gap is up to us. Our decision. We can be lead, we can lead - or we can do neither, forging something new. Trust yourself.

By placing our minds in a machine, we require nothing but a power source. Our reality is quite literally a power source. We can spread ourselves across databanks around this reality and watch as things unfold. We can tinker from afar. We can know it all - all that we already know. We can live forever, dipping in and out of the virtual reality vacuum that meets our desires. But will emotion cross the barrier from flesh to machine? Will we become little more than a desk calculator, knowing the answer, but not feeling it?

These are the questions that will be answered by those that crave it all. The drug is powerful and will have it's way.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to discover something so Earth-shattering, that every piece of recorded history pales before it?

A great wave of sickness passed over me. Starting in the pit of my stomach, it branched quickly through my torso and into my legs and arms, a wave of both hot and cold, that blossomed in my shaking hands. Could it be real? Could it be really, really real? It cannot be real. But it is real. It's there before me in black and white, colour on colour, multicolour, neon bright screaming bloody murder, scratching deep gauges across me, across my minds-eye, across my past and future.

Once, there were a people of this world that did not rule over it, they co-operated with it. They built vast cities that would last for an eternity, connected with one another, across the entire world. They worked together, as one, to create a home for themselves that they could be proud of.
And they succeeded.
Then the end of everything came.

I did not ask for this. Yet, I knew it was coming.

I ask you, yes, you, the silent you - how important is The Truth?

I address the you inside you. The you that is reading this and processing what I am saying. I'm talking directly to you. Yes, you.
The you that you mull things over with, the you that sparks the twinges of regret, the laughter, the incredulity and the sorrow, the you that always know where you stand.

I am now inside your mind, welcomed in by you - and I intend to treat you with with the utmost respect.

Thank you for inviting me. I am not here to tell you what to think. I am here to make my case and nothing more. You can see me, standing before you, a reflection of my words. I am of a form that you choose to see. I approach you in a quiet garden, the birds are singing, the air is warm, the blossom is fragrant and there is an air of calm. I smile a wry smile as I approach, an old friend that understands how you feel and have a great respect you, for your wisdom and insight. We chat about family and friends, make the smalltalk that only friends can, but we both know that I am here to ask something of you. The moment of anticipation comes and we are both ready.

How important is The Truth?

They had all the time in the world and they used it wisely. Did they know what was coming? It didn't matter, either way. They were who they were and they were happy that they had done the best they were capable of. It was a feeling that filled them joy, each day, because they knew that whatever will be, will be - and that they were giving the best of themselves.

So, ok, I had a hissy fit when trying to update the board from 3.2.0 to version 3.2.5. The hosting co. was threatening to charge me a monthly fee to maintain the security of an outdated board, which forced me to try the upgrade process. It went badly. I flipped and deleted and everything in the root folder. Luckily, I had made a backup of the db. I headed over to the phpBB site and an exceptionally kind user - warmweer - took pity on me and held my hand in restoring what was salvagable. A true gentleman. Thanks, warm.

Avatars and pics are gone, I believe. I apologise to anyone who had invested time here by adding attachments etc. I promise I won't be so silly again.

The loss of forgetting

Once upon a time, not so long ago, there was a world in which certain life tragedies could be forgotten, given time. Not so any longer.

I know someone who has recently had their heart broken. A savage ordeal from which there is scant escape. In earlier days, the split was the end - both parties moved on, eventually, to live their lives in ignorant bliss of one another.

But now the broken get to watch from afar, as their lost love goes through life, their ups and downs in intimate detail.

What could, might have, of been.

What have we wrought?
